Valerie has always had a great eye for color, and
a passion for interior design since she can
remember. While growing up, she would mix paint
colors to coordinate with fabric swatches or
have her eyes glued to design magazines. After
graduating from college, she worked with an
ocean freight company and from there spent
twenty successful years working in the
transportation industry. In her spare time she
would visit design centers to check out the
latest designs in fabric, flooring, furnishing,
accessories and color trends. Valerie grew very
tired of her career and knew she would resign
one day to become an interior designer. The question was
“when”? The spark ignited to start her own
business when her husband Paul, who has been her
driving force and inspiration said to her, “Quit
your job, attend design school and follow your
dream!”
From
that day, Valerie hasn’t regretted leaving her
career to embark on her journey to becoming an
interior
designer. She attended Philadelphia College of
Art in Pennsylvania and completed her studies at
Sheffield School of Interior Design in New
York. She is currently working on her CID
(Certified Interior Designer) certification.
Valerie is also a member of IFDA (International
Furnishing Design Association) and WCAA. (Window
Coverings Association of America)
